Born and raised in Russia, Lambright combines the old-world techniques found in historic icon paintings, including the use of egg-tempera paint and gilding with gold leaf, with a contemporary psychological complexity. With layered colors and images, her dense, vibrant dreamscapes explore the nature of memory.
