Duhon James’ 2024 linocut Wear My Bracelet to Feel Me explores the Dinetah landscape, both the familiar and the alien. Above the mountains, a UFO hovers with a transporter link below to join the earth and the sky. To the side, James added a series of parallel lines to suggest weaving on a loom. The title reflects the Navajo practice of passing along jewelry and other important items to the next generation. James received a bracelet from his aunt, which he was gifted. Wearing the bracelet reminds the artist of the importance of family.
