David Naranjo, Pín Pí Yeh (North) - Tsay Shuu Pin, from Invocation Series

$7,000.00
Sold

Invocation series (polyptych)

Acrylic on canvas

36” x 24”

Set: $24,000 of four

Invocation features bold stylized symmetric patterning of Puebloan pottery designs and iconography of oversized cloud, water, feather motifs. Each panel corresponds to 4 of the 6 cardinal directions and includes the traditional names of the mountains that define the Tewa world. This composition is first and foremost a visual prayer and my personal way of connecting to the divine by integrating and combining the Catholic faith (cross) and cultural Puebloan aesthetics.
