Intermediaries #2 features bold stylized bird figures comprised of Puebloan pottery designs and iconography of oversized cloud, water, feather motifs. Birds, parrots-most notably the eagle, are seen as important intermediaries between us and the divine. This composition was inspired by historical kiva murals and the incredible work of Awa Tsireh’s “Fantastic Bird” series.
