Last Gun, a Piikani (Blackfeet) citizen, is a visual artist who primarily works with printmaking and the technique of serigraphy to produce fine original prints. Last Gun’s work considers nature, the cosmos, cultural narratives, and recollections in geometric forms, depicted in vibrant color harmonies.
Sipple, a mixed media abstract artist, studied drawing, painting, and sculpture. When the processes began to affect her health, she turned to color pencils as a less toxic alternative. Sipple’s intuitive process leads to drawings with depth, movement, light, and color. Layering many different tones, the pencils look almost like watercolor, with abstract forms that are almost sculptural to form brightly colored dreamscapes.
