Gallery Hózhó at Hotel Chaco will feature new works by Ira Lujan and Ryan Singer. Join the artists in the gallery on Saturday, October 2, 2021, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
Ira Lujan (Taos/ Ohkay Owingeh) learned glass blowing in Taos, New Mexico, while apprenticing with glass artist Tony Jojola (Isleta Pueblo) in 2000. He creates three-dimensional sculptures from blown glass, blending bright color and light.
Ira Lujan will be giving a glass blowing demonstration outside the entryway of Gallery Hózhó same day.
Diné (Navajo) painter Ryan Singer uses the toys, movies, and tv shows of his childhood to relate narratives from his cultural heritage. We are excited to be celebrating these two artists and are appreciative of the opportunity to be showcasing their works. Stop by Gallery Hózhó at Hotel Chaco, located near Old Town across from the Sawmill Market.
