Artist Statement:
“The sphere is a shape that holds profound significance in sacred geometry, representing unity, wholeness, and infinite potential. This simple, yet powerful form has been revered across cultures and spiritual traditions for millennia. The sphere symbolizes completeness and the interconnectedness of all things. From celestial bodies to the building blocks that bind us together, the sphere is the most ubiquitous form in the universe. Its surface is continuous and has no boundaries, seams, or edges. The spheres in my paintings represent life itself; organic shapes drawing substance and strength, having evolved from a distant time and place. Spherical shapes are a source of inspiration in my work. The sphere's soft gradations suggest transformative movement throughout the scene.”
“My goal is to transport the viewer to another place through imaginative realism. Much of what I paint is organic because it captivates me like nothing else. It’s as if a living presence provides an intimate and sensual landscape, whether natural or man made. I blend colors together to form deep, rich, continuous patterning. Soft gradations produce transformative movement throughout the scene. I choose earthly natural tones and vibrant hues to melt light and shade together. The result has been described by others as romantic, surreal, mysterious and ethereal.”
