MARIA SAMORA

Maria Samora (Taos Pueblo), a renowned jeweler based in Taos, New Mexico, embodies elegance, precision, and a deep respect for craft in her jewelry. After a decade-long apprenticeship with master goldsmith Phil Poirier, she launched her own studio, where she creates sculptural designs that combine clean, contemporary lines with the warmth of precious metals. She continually innovates in terms of design and technique, playing with texture and finishes. Since her debut at the Santa Fe Indian Market in 2005, she has received praise for her artistic recognition and innovation, gaining awards such as being honored as the 2019 Santa Fe Indian Market Poster Artist and being named a Living Treasure by the Museum of Indian Arts & Culture.
