Annual Photography Show: In Focus

Gallery Hozho at Hotel Chaco will feature photography by Chelsea A. Benally,Treston Chee, Boderra Joe, Derrell Lopez, and Ryan Young. Join the artists for the opening reception for In Focus on Friday, April 7, 2023 from 5pm to 8pm.
From Bááhazł'ah (Twin Lakes) on the Navajo Nation, Boderra Joe’s expansive landscapes of her homeland and thoughtful portraits offer an intimate view of her Diné heritage. Her images utilize panoramas to suggest the vastness of her ancestral lands.
Derrell Lopez (Diné), a Native American queer artist raised in Tuba City, Arizona, on the Navajo Reservation, is currently a student at the the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where he is pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Lopez experiments with film and photography, addressing issues of self, culture, time and space, and the role of art in society.
